At Together We Can, we are committed to supporting the development of future professionals in the counselling and addiction recovery field. We proudly offer practicum opportunities for students completing their education in counselling, addiction studies, and related disciplines. These placements provide invaluable real-world experience within a supportive, client-centered environment. Whether students are pursuing diplomas, undergraduate degrees, or graduate-level education, we ensure that their time with us is structured, meaningful, and aligned with their academic and career goals.
In addition to practicum placements, Together We Can offers clinical supervision for students and new professionals who require it as part of their certification or educational requirements. Our experienced clinical team is passionate about mentorship and committed to nurturing the skills and confidence of future counselors. We currently welcome students from a wide range of institutions, including Yorkville University, Adler University, City University, Gonzaga University, Vancouver Community College, Ashton College, Douglas College, and many others.
We understand that hands-on learning is a critical component of professional development. Students placed with Together We Can are exposed to a dynamic treatment environment that includes one-on-one counseling, group therapy, case management, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. This real-world exposure helps bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application, preparing students to thrive in diverse clinical settings.

Student Testimonial – John, Master's-Level Counseling Practicum Student
"Completing my master's-level practicum at Together We Can was one of the most impactful experiences of my professional journey. From day one, I felt welcomed and supported by the clinical team, who provided consistent guidance and supervision. The opportunity to work directly with clients struggling with addiction helped me grow both professionally and personally. I was able to apply the theories and techniques I learned in class to real-life situations and gained confidence in my clinical skills. The diversity of cases and the depth of therapeutic work at Together We Can provided me with experience I simply couldn't have gained elsewhere. This practicum truly prepared me for a successful career in counseling."
